Acrobatic Arts is based on safe and effective progressions with proven results in five divisions of AcroDance: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling. Developed with input from professionals and experts in dance, contortion, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, sport acrobatics, yoga, acro yoga, pilates, physiotherapy, and more, you will not find a more comprehensive program. Simple, thoughtful progressions, take the beginner, preschool level dancer from log rolls and summersaults, to the advanced dancer doing back handsprings, and ariels effortlessly across the stage! This is a great stand-alone class for boys and girls, and is also a fantastic addition to any dancer’s advanced training.
Class Key Features and Benefits:
- This class will not perform in the winter show, but will perform exhibition style in the spring recital
- Acrodance is "gymnastics for dancers" where students develop specific strength, flexibility, stamina, and technique
- Acrobatic tricks are taught to be learned in future dance choreography
- Students advance levels through testing of skills
*Flesh tone stirrup or footless tights.
*Black booty shorts, form fitting capris or leggings may be worn over Leotard.
*Hair MUST be secured out of the face (very long hair should be secured in a low bun to prevent being stepped on, all other length hair preferred style is a low pony or French braid. If hair is too short for a pony or braid, it must be secured out of the face with elastics or bobby-pins.)
*No skirts or loose fitting tops or bottoms as they can be dangerous and a hinderance to spotting.
*Black form fitting tank or tee.
*Black straight leg athletic pants.
